Today I bring you a collection of cityscapes of the Singapore skyline.
I'm in Singapore on vacation and explore the city on foot with my smartphone camera. Singapore is a city state of 6 million on an island of 735 km2. For comparison the Danish island of Funen where I was born is the home of less than half a million on an area four times as large. That is a lot of people, no wonder there are a lot of high rise residential buildings.
Everywhere interspersed with residential buildings, trees. Lush green trees line the wide roads and create oasis of green between the high rises. Covered walkways protect against sun and sudden downpours. Colourful exotic flowers greet you along crisscrossing paths. Birds call out from a nearby tree in the morning and scrounge around in the bushes for food.
On reclaimed land inspiring architecture create landmarks for the curious explorer. Not least the 8 billion Marina Bay Sands, Singapore's signature landmark since 2011.
Enjoy.
