Viking Con 43 happens this weekend in Copenhagen. Viking Con is a game convention for boardgames and tabletop roleplaying games rooted in the 1980s. They execute on a shoestring budget with a crowd of volunteers. They don't attract big crowds but have a hardcore base of recurring visitors. Same place as last year. Same time as last year. Same games, same people. Well more or less. It's like a repeat of the Dinner for One.
I will attend Saturday, travelling down for the weekend. It's an opportunity to catch up with old friends but also to present and playtest my games in development: Gotlandia and Churches of Gotland.
I will also run a session of Troels Ken Pedersen's roleplaying game, Dungeon of the Witchmaster. Inspired by Ars Magica, you play apprentices in search for their master. Working together and using their weakly developed magical talents to overcome the dangers lurking beneath.
I will also bring a selection of exclusive Thoughtful Mugs.
