The abandoned house on the hill is a popular horror trope. Intrepid investigators of the supernatural enters the house on a moonless night. Do they find what they are looking for? Will they live to tell the tale?

I found an abandoned house on a hill this week. I didn’t enter.
Next to Sturehov, a mansion built by the Ministor of Finance of King Gustav III, a large wooden house lies hidden among trees on a hill. Unlike most wooden houses in Sweden, this house is in a style common in the mountains of Central Europe. On one side, a large tower with a staircase and a top room overlooking the otherwise tall trees that surrounds the house. On the western side catching the afternoon sun, a two story porch with fine wooden carvings. The name of the place is Sillvik (Herring Bay).

Built in the late 19th century, the place became a summer camp in 1929. Eight years ago, a volunteer association took over the place. Much in need to some TLC, it is possible to rent the place for events and the website lists a few events. There is also a rich galleri of pictures from inside the house (without noir filter). I haven't found a floor plan though.
I briefly entertained the idea of hosting a game convention there. Playing Betrayal at House on the Hill and Call of Cthulhu. Beds for 29 inside. But then I saw the outdoor toilets. Modern conveniences for a modern audience. Much more fun time travelling in your imagination than getting up in the middle of the night to visit an outside loo.
But maybe you are brave enough to spend the night here?
