Happy birthday, Cirkör!

Cirkus Cirkör is Northern Europe's largest circus company. Their main training facility happens to be right around the corner from where we live. In what was once LM Ericsson’s hub for modern farming, Circus Cirkör now creates contemporary circus. Not tamed tigers, clumsy clowns and sawdust but acrobatics and story telling.

Today Cirkör celebrated their 30 year birthday and they did so by throwing a gigantic party here in Alby. On a sunny Sunday in September they invited friends and neighbours to play, explore, watch and celebrate. Free shows, food trucks, and fika, inside and outside. I went to see their new show but decided to just hand around outside when I saw the long queue of people lining up to get in. Instead we were treated to an extra run of T&T’s Wall Trampoline Show with two talented young men.

30 year on Cirkus Cirkör projects passion, curiosity, and courage. They show what can be achieved when you set your mind to it and invite us to come along. Nobody needs a circus show. But the world is a better place because of it. Thanks and many happy returns!
