Exploring the caves of Stockholm

I'm on a mission to visit more stations of the Stockholm Metro.

The Stockholm Metro is the world's longest art exhibition. Most of its more than 100 stations feature art prominently and have their own unique identity. I'm particular fond of the cave stations -- the underground stations where colourful and decorated concrete walls surround you as you descend into the deep.

I've already visited Alby, T-Centralen, Hornstull, Kungsträdgården, Stadion, and Thorildsplan. This week I got a chance to visit two more.

Tekniska Högskolan / Technical University

Inspiration may strike suddenly.
Dodekaeder.
Cogwheels and machinery greets you at the stairs leading to the Technical University.
Tetraeder.

Rådhuset / City Hall

The past is buried underground and the artist's idea at the City Hall station is to show it. With a colour palette of earth tones the art doesn't shout out for attention, rather it is just subtly there when you look for it.

The wooden boxes represent a historical volume measure used for selling hay.
Woven baskets -- the shopping bags of the past.
The artwork fades into the tunnel. Is this the road to the past or the future?
The Galoshes of Fortune with which you can travel to whatever time, place or condition in life you desire.
