A box for Spooky Town

Spooky Town is a fun card game about Halloween monsters competing for the best places to scare the little kids when they come out for trick-and-treat. I’m inviting everyone who visits Folk Lab to help create the game.

Spooky Town consists of a deck of 78 cards and one die to keep track of who is first player and how many rounds are left. We order the cards from a printer in Poland and we will make the dice and the boxes ourselves using our laser cutters at Folk Lab.

So I’m iterating designs for the box. Yesterday was my fourth version and I did a little step by step as I assembled. It feels like magic every time. No glue, just gently push the pieces together. It’s high tech and ancient technology at the same time. This version is a little scorched but my wife says it matches the theme of the game.

You can help create Spooky Town too! Come by Folk Lab and submit one or more drawings of monsters before October 31st midnight. As a reward you get your very own copy of the game. We are open every weekday afternoon and evening in week 44 (Swedish höstlov). Find us in Folkets Hus Hallunda, Borgvägen 1, 14568 Norsborg. Except Friday where we do spooky tours at Norsborg manor.
