Stockholm Inner City
From the cultural heart of modern Stockholm to the birthplace of Stockholm, this city walk will take you on a journey back in time.
You will hear about Carl XII when we meet him on our way, still pointing at his arch enemy. You will see the cannon ball that Gustaf Vasa fired at the Danes after the Stockholm Bloodbath. Pass through the narrow streets of Old Town to the newly renovated lock at Slussen that will guard the fresh water of Mälaren for a century. We will end the tour in a scenic and calm space overlooking Mälaren where it all began.

The Art of the Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm Metro is the world's longest art exhibition. Most of its 100 stations feature art prominently and gives each station their own identity.
We will enter the mass transit system and as commuters rush by we will stop and appreciate the unique art of the most spectacular installations.

City of One Million
In the 1960s Stockholm expanded rapidly into the suburbs. Following a dream of affordable and modern homes for one million inhabitants, reality hit with the Oil Crisis and mass unemployment. What some scorn as ghettoes is today well functioning living spaces for 90,000 people.
We will explore Fittja, Alby, and Hallunda, and see how the grand visions ended up. Efficient commuter solutions, affordable housing, wide selection of sports and recreational facilities; homes for many.

Lars Magnus Ericsson
Innovator and pioneer of the telephone. Ericsson copied and improved Bell's invention and built a hugely successful business. Not an easy man to work with, he left the company that still bears his name as 50-year old and moved to Alby where he put his energy to improve how farming was done.
Ericsson's Memorial Room at the Police Museum. Alby Gård/Subtopia and Hågelbyparken in Bortkyrka.
