RPG Trader is a new market place to buy and sell tabletop roleplaying games. Created by Hugh Lashbrooke, the site promises a modern easy-to-use experience for buyers and sellers.
“We believe finding great RPG content should be simple, and publishing it should be just as easy.”
RPG Trader
The platform launched this week and I decided to join. While I have sold my games online on Lulu, Itch, DriveThru, and my web shop on Thoughtful Dane, these either have limited reach or clunky user interfaces or both.
So far I have published Montsegur 1244, Mars to Stay, and The City. It’s been smooth sailing except for the occasional lag when uploading, probably due to scaling. I’m now one of 366 creators who have joined, double the number since I checked yesterday. It took less than one hour from I submitted the first item until it was approved and visible on the front page. All thumbs up for the seller experience from here.
The launch sale is on all week with 20% off all items. But this is not just a place to find cheap games that you never play or read: The meta data makes search for games easy and meaningful. Not just by brand/publisher, but search by genre, playstyle, setting, and tone. Creators also get a higher cut than at DriveThru so reward your favourite game designer by making a purchase through RPG Trader.
