Medeltidsveckan is a yearly festival in Visby on Gotland that celebrates all things medieval. For one week, scenic Visby transforms into an open air theatre with concerts, markets, lectures, street food stalls, acrobats, jesters, and people dressed out in anything remotely Medieval. From vikings to pirates -- you will find them there. There is also a spectacular jousting tournament show. The programme with this year's events is now live.
This year's theme is Love and is there anything I remember from my visit last year and the year before, it's the great feeling of love and joy and friendship in this magic seven day experience.
Play Gotlandia on Gotland
This year I'm contributing to the fun with an event of my own: Gotlandia. Gotlandia is a board game about Medieval Gotland that I've created together with my son over the last three years. It's now completed and I am happy to bring it out for people to play and enjoy.
